PostHeaderIcon Skiing for the first time?

Dry slope skiing can be a real benefit before your ski holiday. We recommend James Harrison ASSI and his small team of instructors at Christ College Ski School in Guildford, Surrey (01483 504988).

The ski centre has now been redeveloped and includes a new slope for children aged five and six years. 'Donutting' is also available.

PostHeaderIcon Ski Rental

This coming season we will again be having 11 (eleven) brand new pairs of Atomic Skis available for hire

The skis will be suitable for intermediate to expert skiers, and will be available in sizes ranging from 150cm to 165cm. They will be fitted with top quality, rental grade bindings and will easily adjust to any required boot size - boots that you will need to supply yourself.

The skis can be hired from us directly at a cost of just 80 € (eighty euros) for six days. Payment will be taken in cash, and in resort.

If you would like to reserve some skis at the same time as you book your holiday, or you would like to know more, please drop as an e-mail, or use the contact form found here.

Experts ...
Tuition for expert skiers

It's clear where you want to go....faster, steeper, deeper and bumpier ! We offer advanced training programmes for higher end skiers, some of whom hold, or are training for instructors qualifications. In the 2009/10 season Simon Butler Skiing will be running tailored performance training weeks. Please ask our office for details.

Children ...
Ski school for children

Children learn the basics in ski classes with their own dedicated instructor and can work towards gaining recognised Snowsports awards.

We do welcome first-time children from the age of four years. However, we ask parents that they meet a number of set requirements before we can accept any four or five-year-old skier into ski school. This policy ensures that alll leaners get maximum opportunity to progress and enjoy their lessons together. If a child is unable to participate fully in a two hour lesson then we can offer private lessons (payable in resort) or there is a nanny service. Our office can provide further details at the time of booking.

From green runs to black

We know your time on snow is precious, so we work hard to ensure you get the most from your ski lessons. We have a full team of qualified British Instructors who are selected for their experience and people skills and they will help you to progress, whatever your level. Included in the holiday is two hours free instruction over five days and a video analysis session, which is an excellent teaching aid. Private lessons are also available and there is an optional 'Race Day' event at the end of the week for more experienced skiers.

Perfect if you're a beginner.

First time on skis - then prepare to be amazed by what you can achieve in just one week. Our beginner and novice groups are given priority morning lessons slots and groups are kept small so that you can learn the basics correctly and progress quickly without faults developing.

Go on, challenge yourself

Feel as if you're in a rut with your skiing and can't progress to the next level? Turned off by off-piste, icy conditions or powder snow? Many intermediate level skiers reach a plateau and need a fresh approach. We can help you to love skiing the whole mountain - in all conditions.

The ski area is extensive covering Megeve and neighbouring Saint Gervais, Saint Nicolas de Veroce, Combloux, La Giettaz and Les Contamines-Montjoie - a total area of 445 kilometres."
