Simon Butler Skiing
Simon Butler established his ski business in the alpine village of Megeve in the French Alps 27 years ago. He started out in the snowsports industry many years before. Ultimately Simon, aged 16, became the youngest person to qualify on the first rung of the teaching ladder and he went on to be awarded the highest teaching qualification in 1986. Since starting Simon Butler Skiing, his business philosophy has always been simple: to give everyone the opportunity to learn and progress their skiing in a fun, friendly and knowledgeable environment.

Q So many of our customers return after each year (last season 95 per cent were either repeat guest or holidaying on recommendation)

A Our Aim is to ensure all of guests have a great holiday. I believe that people return because our management, instuctors and chalet teams are all genuinely customer focused and will go out of their  way to make sure our guests are happy - both in the chalets and out on the slopes.  Whether guests have skied before, or are first timers, everyone can look forward to receiving a very warm welcome.

Q Would you that a main strength is the quality of the instruction you offer?

A Definitely. From feedback we know our guests love the instructional holiday formula. Our team of qualified British instructors are carefully selected  for their experience and people skills and as a result we can provide tailored instruction for all - from the complete beginner through to the seasoned expert. The ski school is set up around safe, central meeting points that are easilt accessible so friends and families are united at the start and finish of their lessons. This offers great peace of mind especially for our beginners, nervous skiers, parents and children.

Q What's included in the holiday?

Simon Butler skiing holidays include half board accommodation and two hours' free instruction over five dats. guests can choose to stay in one of our two chalet hotels which are both close to the centre of the village - the Soleil d'Or, or the superior Chalet d' Antoine, Both provide a wide variety of accommodation choices and have dedicated chalet teams. We work hard to continually assess and improve our service and we do take customer feedback seriously. in the 2008/09 season we are going to be changing our ski school format to inclde fivbe days of tution an optional Friday 'Race Day' event. This is in response to the number of request from skiers who want to ski for fun on a Friday with their friends and families.

Q What's so great about Megeve?

Megeve is a traditional alpine village providing chocolate-box images and it's only just over an hour's transfer from Geneva Airport. But the best kept secret is sheer size and range of the ski area, which competes with the largest in Europe. There are 445 kilometers of pistes with 208 runs for skiers of all levels - and plenty of challenging terrain for our experts. The biggest plus is that for many weeks each season you can almost enjoy the place yourself.

Q When can we come and how do we book?

A Please make an early reservation to avoid disapointment as many weeks get booked up quickly. You can book direct through our UK office.
